Final OpenNESS Annual Meeting in Smolenice, Slovakia

HUGIN is a Danish SME established in 1989. The company is a leading provider of tools and services for advanced decision support based on complex statistical models known as probabilistic models (i.e., Bayesian networks and influence diagrams). The company was founded by a group of leading experts and researchers in the field of probabilistic graphical models. The customer profile is diverse ranging from academic institutions such as universities to small-to-medium sized companies to large international enterprises within numerous business areas.

HUGIN has two main tasks in OpenNESS. The first task is the development of general purpose software components such as, for instance, widgets for the HUGIN Web Service API supporting deployment and model revision of Bayesian networks on the Internet as well as an interface between the HUGIN Decision Engine and GIS software. The second task relates to the development of Bayesian networks and interfaces for these models using the software mentioned above for case studies. HUGIN is involved in WPs 1-5.

HUGIN created a special website to provide information, examples and tutorials on Bayesian networks in relation to OpenNESS. The site is also be used to document the HUGIN OpenNESS project activities.
